After my RCA (mentioned in the book) went missing recently, I found this Samsung music player and case with arm band (sold separately). I absolutely love it! It's very small and light. It doesn't use batteries and must be charged from a usb connection to the computer, so I have to make sure I fully charge it at least once a week. Otherwise, if I run out of power at the gym, I'm out of music. But at least I don't go through so many batteries anymore. I bought the 512 MB one (which is plenty since my RCA was only 64 MB!), at Best Buy on sale for $122 and with the purchase, they were giving a $50 gift card so I really got it for $72 plus tax. I bought the case and armband with the $50 gift card, which sells for $29.99, so I even had money left over!

I thought I had good headphones before; they were Sony with cords not the typical wirey material, but a cloth-like mesh material that didn't tangle too badly. Sadly, they went missing with the RCA. As much as I love the Samsung music player above, I can't stand the bud earphones that come with it and most MP3 portable music players. These Sony liv headphones are great! The cord is retractable - just press the buttons on the ear pieces and the cords disappear! And like my old headphones, the cords are the cloth mess-like material. The ear pieces hug the ears nicely too. $29.99 at Target.

When dieting strict to lose fat fast, I use a scale. I measure meats, chicken and turkey, raw. Foods are usually measured prior to being cooked. This is a great scale, a good size with the dish washer washable tray. I believe I got it at Fortunoff's. Food scales can be purchased at any store that sells kitchen items, such as Bed Bath & Beyond, I think Target as well. Measuring is a must when strict dieting. When maintaining, however, I guesstimate without getting the scale out. Once in a while, I'll measure to see if my guesstimations are accurate and they usually are right on target. You start to have a good eye for it after a while.

I found this nice big spatula at Target for $6.99. It's great for when I make my 4 jumbo egg white, one yolk over easy eggs or omelettes.

Picked up a great pair of lifting gloves. Schiek with a wrist wrap. They're not cheap at $39.99 but the best pair I've had in a very long time and will last longer than the less expensive ones.
